According to Sophocles’ quote, “There is no success without hardship.” It’s worth noting that the term “pivot” has recently gained popularity and is essentially a rebranding of a company’s potential failure. Consequently, obstacles appear to be unavoidable on the path to success. But what if we could avoid costly, time-consuming setbacks and progress toward individual success without encountering as many unnecessary roadblocks? This eventuality, I believe, we can achieve by incorporating Bandura’s Social Cognitive Theory into one’s learning activities. I am convinced that Bandura’s theory can be applied to coaching and the coachee’s relationship with a skilled mentor.
