The purpose of this paper is to raise awareness of the common mistakes made when creating frameworks for accountability. It does this first by outlining the importance of accountability and how to implement it. Then, I’ll detail common accountability pitfalls we encounter when trying to achieve our goals, why they are, and what we can do to prevent them. In coaching, it’s crucial for coaches to make sure their clients receive the help they need to carry out their plans and reach their objectives. Support includes the means to ensure commitment to achieving goals, as well as the tools, people, structures, and ways to achieve and measure those goals.
