According to Berg & Karlsen (2016), a coaching leadership style is one that “supports and challenges colleagues with the aim of helping them achieve individual development goals.” What do you suggest in place of the “I say, you do” approach when using this leadership style? 2018’s Eden Project Leaders develop their communication skills by sharing, interacting, and paying attention to the team. Employees are given the chance to capitalize on their strengths, develop their skills, and receive credit for their accomplishments. By acting as both guides and observers, leaders assist their teams in understanding the objectives behind what they are doing. They feel at ease handing off responsibility and letting people handle the work on their own.
