Untangle the Jargon

It can be overwhelming when deciding which certification or credential you need to practice as a coach, and then what it means to train with an accredited vs non accredited school.  And, then there are the acronyms (ICA, ICF, PCC, ACC, MCC etc).

We've created this booklet to help you unravel the jargon and terminology.  We consider coach certification to be essential, as is the need to complete this with an accredited school.  Credentialing is highly regarded but optional.

The main thing is to plan ahead using the following criteria

  1. Select an ICF accredited school
  2. Select a Level 1 or 2 program (you can enter at either level) and make sure it includes both theory and practicum.
