ICA’ers Meet-Up in Canada
ICA’s community is enormously social and our students, graduates, and trainers often connect outside the classroom. But, the ICA meet-up this last weekend was super special because it’s rare that so many of ICA’s team are physically in one place at the one time. And, for some, it was the first time they’ve met in person after many (over 10) years of working together. A big thanks to students and graduates Aysen Arikan, Bonnie Duarte, Katherine Koplov, Beth Ostrander, and Michael Seelman for also coming along and making the day complete!
ICA Student, Michael Seelman sums up the event so perfectly when he says ‘it was really cool…lots of fun’.
It happened like this…
Rossella Pin (PCC) connected with the ICA team a few months back to say that her children had always wanted to travel to the US, and she was going to make it happen (she lives in Italy). Our US and Canadian-based trainers were quick to jump in with offers to host Rossella, and then with much excitement, a weekend in Niagara was organized. For some this location was local, but for others, it was an 8-hour drive (wow). The photos say it all – a weekend of food, wine, and lots of laughs. The take-away from everyone was ‘we should do it more often’.
But, the one thing that really stood out was how the ‘online’ relationships everyone had developed over the years so effortlessly flowed into the person to person meet up. It speaks volumes to the depth of connection that can happen within the virtual ICA Community.
