A Research Paper By Uljana Kalinova
Life Coach, LATVIA
Being curious is one of the essential components of a fruitful coaching session from the perspective of both the coach and the client, according to this research paper on developing curiosity. Coupled with presence, it enables everything that happens during a coaching session, including clarifying, exploring, reflecting, learning, and finding solutions, which in turn ensures progress and change. To support evoking awareness in the client through active listening, potential questioning, and useful feedback, the coach must maintain curiosity and presence. It is vital for the client to remain curious in order to be open to any process of self-discovery that may arise and to be prepared to challenge limiting structures or beliefs.
