Fear is a complex feeling that can arise from a variety of situations, including real-world hazards, memories of scary past events, or imagined scenarios/threats. Although trust is difficult to explain, we can feel and recognize when it is gone or lost. When this happens, our energy and engagement levels drop, and we may feel anxious, distrustful, avoidant, uncertain, or insecure. To help our clients transition from fear vs. trust, we must first help them recognize that fear is present and, where applicable, that it is driving their actions.
