Coaching and therapy complement each other. Past events, triggers, and traumas are addressed in therapy. It’s about healing and is set in the past. Coaching entails moving ahead. What are your long-term goals and how are you starting to achieve them now? From personal experience, I know that the two work well together. I’ve seen myself change as a result of my life coaching experience. I am a shy, timid person with a lot of self-limiting beliefs. In therapy, I was able to unearth “shoulds” and scripts that I had believed I had to follow and be stuck in. I discovered that I was not living in my truth through coaching. I discovered where those toxic tendencies came from and how to question my history through therapy.
