In an organization, talent management aims to connect hiring, development, performance, and rewards across the employee experience’s life cycle in order to meet the company’s strategic goals (Lawler, 2019). All talent management techniques are connected, aligned, and measured via the lens of competencies (DDI, 2020). Coaching as a competency has transferable skill sets, toolsets, and mindsets that can be used in other, more general leadership qualities.
