CREATE is the name of a coaching model I developed to allow for integrated coaching within my chosen profession. My specialty is assisting young professionals who are just starting out in the shipping sector, as well as seasoned professionals who want to enhance their careers. Because the specialty deals with people who are already engaged or have decided to pursue a career in the shipping industry, the model combines standard coaching approaches with a stronger focus on execution.

When explaining the problem, the client will frequently allude to a previous scenario or depict it as a recurring pattern in their life or at work, with similar effects. We are then confronted with the cycle in which the client is caught, and we want to help the client move on, even if we mistakenly touch on experience to better understand the cycle, the triggers, and the thought patterns. There are a number of ways to help clients break the cycle, but one that I’ve found very useful is a power tool I call Assumption vs. Reality.
