This training course has a blend of both theory and practical application. It includes the learning from the introductory Life Design Course, plus coaching practicum. It's for those wanting to introduce a coach approach to their workplace or every day life.

A Coach Approach
Learn and explore the competencies and frameworks that underpin the profession of coaching. Includes
FlipIt Facilitation
An introduction to the Flipit framework; a process for moving someone from where they are now to where they want to be.
Coaching Practicum
Put theory into practice. Trial new techniques, refine your coaching personality and expertise, and learn from the experience of others. This course area includes role plays, coaching demonstrations, coaching observations, and coaching with mentor feedback.

What are the course start dates?
ICA offers a rolling program intake, meaning there are always coaching theory and development labs scheduled for newbies. You can start the day you join, with orientations held weekly.
How is the program delivered?
ICA’s e-learning platform was established in 2001 and includes downloadable modules, class schedules, curated resources, and a private forum. Participation includes classes, labs and guided study.
A class is theory based synchronous study where students dial into class via zoom. A trained facilitator (PCC or MCC) facilitates the learning and discussion.
A lab is practicum based synchronous study where students dial into class via zoom. A trained facilitator (PCC or MCC) facilitates the learning and discussion.
Guided study is asynchronous learning where ICA provides the resources and learning materials (module downloads, quiz, worksheets etc) for students to complete in their own time. This includes portfolio and resource development.
Does the workplace coach program lead to a credential?
This program leads to further study and is directly credited towards ACSTH and ACTP with ICA. It is only after the further study is completed that a credential would be an option.
Is there a learning guarantee?
Enrollment in a Coach Training program is a commitment to both yourself and International Coach Academy. If after 45 days you have not found value in your learning then you can apply for a refund (less administrative fee) and have your attended classes and labs certified by ICA. Read More

Cutting Edge Instructional Design
The team of instructional designers who developed our learning platform in 2001 were amongst the first group of educators to develop and design online learning in Australia. The advantage this has given us as a school is that many of the teething problems and learning issues associated with online learning have been resolved.
Each program includes a set number of training hours but there's flexibility within the structure. The workplace program can be completed as a 30hr course with 'Workplace Coach' certification. Or, it can be completed as a pathway to the Vocational, Certified or Advanced program. Programs are available in English, Chinese or Italian (or a combination of both).
