Individuals vs. Collectivism
- This dimension is characterized by the closeness of ties between the individual and the world outside the immediate family and friends circle.
- Kazakhstan scores low on this dimension. Social ties are strong, sense of community and belonging is high. People are used to giving and receiving help from the family, friends and colleagues. The common answer received from 34 interviewed to the question “how would you use what you discover about yourself through Spiritual Coaching?” was: “I would share my findings with my family/friends/colleagues”.
- Seven people preferred to use this knowledge to further their dreams and aspirations. Nine replied that if they needed it at all, they would’ve used it as an resource not available to others to move ahead in their careers/life.
Conclusion:
Results received from Spiritual Coaching may be used to better interpersonal relations between people on a larger scale because of prevalence of close ties in the community.
Masculinity
- This dimension is characterized by the prevailing role of either men or women in the society.
- Kazakhstan takes approximately central point on the scale of equal opportunity. From 50 interviewed ratio of men to women was 20/30. Out of them 41 indicated that they knew that their inner growth and spiritual development would better their relationships with their spouses/significant other.
- Six people pointed out that it is unfair to use interference of any higher power in relationships, they should be left up to the parties concerned. Three people didn’t want to comment.
Conclusion:
Both men and women feel the need for their spiritual development in context of bettering relationships.
Uncertainty Avoidance.
- This dimension is characterized by the desire to avoid ambiguous situations with uncertain outcomes. High index indicates strong desire to avoid them.
- Kazakhstan has medium high index. Taking risks is still not a popular trend. People prefer to be sure of the steps they take and not take unnecessary risks. All of the interviewed indicated that they would be kin on working with a Spiritual Coach to develop their intuition, develop the ability to make better thought through decisions, learn how to be guided by the Higher Power in their work/business/relationships, learn how to be better receptacle of Inspired wisdom.
Conclusion:
Spiritual Coaching is seen as beneficial by people for development of their ability to meditatively think through their actions in work/business/relationships related matters and not impulsively follow the common trends relying on others’ experiences and being stalled by their fears.
Short/Long Term Orientation
- This dimension is categorized by the strength of compliance to traditional views and ways of thinking and doing things. High index shows the lack of creativity and strong adherence to the established laws of behavior/thinking/doing/living. Low index indicates novel ideas, creative expression and adapting of traditions to the new day.
- Kazakhstan is midway between high and low. Older ways of thinking and doing things are established and less risky. New ways are compelling if the society wants to move to new levels of development. Out of 50 interviewed 46 indicated that their desire was to progress towards the new and most indicated that they are aware that there are mindsets that stall their progress and they would like some support to change them, alleviate some fears and develop new mindsets and set goals. Most indicated that they knew that their progress was contingent on their personal development and way of thinking.
- Four interviewed indicated that they had a good balance distinguishing between what is good and not good for them. They rely on their experience and not emotions.
Conclusion:
In society that is transitioning from one state to another Spiritual Coaching is seen as beneficial. It is seen to be helpful in changing deep-rooted habits and mindsets, creating awareness of self/others-imposed limitations, creating a plan for personal growth and development in order to progress in reaching of intended goals and dreams.
