Functionally speaking, 40% of HR & Admin professionals heard about executive coaching through publications as compared to only 26% of others. Whereas the proportion is same for the other two sources, viz., from their friends/relatives and their organization. Only 23% of C-level professionals heard about executive coaching through publications as compared to 38% of others. 40% of them heard about it from friends/relatives as compared to only 23% for others. Only 23% heard about it from their organization as compared to 35% for others.

Most respondents believe that Executive Coaching is concerned with Management development for higher responsibility, improving existing work, long term building of skills and competencies.

69% of the executives have had no prior experience of executive coaching whatsoever. The rest responded in the affirmative.
Functionally, 40% of HR has experience of using executive coaching as compared to only 26% for others. 40% of C-level has experience of using executive coaching as compared to only 25% for others.
Interestingly, there is not a single professional who has gone through executive coaching earlier and don’t want to do it again, as compared to 11% others, who has no prior experience and still does not want to go through it.
Only 8% of professionals with prior experience are not sure about going through it again, as compared to 18% of others, who don’t have an experience and still not sure.
A majority of professionals with prior executive coaching experience (42%) prefer duration of 6-12 months as compared to others (28%). 31% prefer up to 3 months as compared to 47% for others.
