“A Course in Miracles” states in the world of bodies we are many, in the world of Spirit, we are one. From a spiritual perspective, we are all created equal, with nothing lacking, complete, whole and totally healed. As Neale Donald Walsch expressed in “Conversations with God” book series, we each are expressions of the Divine in many forms, “the ocean in a drop”. Although, we come in many forms, body shapes and sizes, with different ideas, beliefs, cultural backgrounds, there is one thing that unites us all, and that is our Divine nature. At our most essential Self we are Spirit, embodied in our human form. In that we are connect to our Divine Source in every moment, having access to infinite wisdom and resources. We each have come to this human form with unique and wonderful gifts and abilities, in order to express and share them with others. Our life purpose seems then, to be expressing our own Divinity in unique ways, sharing with others that which has been lovingly, freely and kindly given to us. When we are able to have our life expression be shown through those gifts, we experience joy, happiness and a life fulfilled. None of us are without these abilities and gifts. We each have something to offer that others may find useful, joyful, loving and kind. Unfortunately, many of us have forgotten these simple things, as cultural norms have conditioned us to believe that our worth is tied to the things we own, the jobs and money we have and where we live, what we drive and what clothes we wear.
Many of us struggle in an endless pursuit of these material things, thinking that when we have them, then we will be happy. In that respect, we may stay in jobs we don’t like and pursue unfulfilling careers, just to fill up our desire to be happy with the material things. However, I believe that when we live a life of purpose, aligned with our values, natural gifts and talents, we will be happier and all those things we need to survive in this world (shelter, food, money, possessions), will manifest naturally, as an extension of who we are and how we are manifesting in this world. I see many of my friends and acquaintances struggling with being unfulfilled in their daily existence, wanting something more that would fill their soul with joy and happiness. I also see many discarding their old ideas about what life is all about and embracing kinder, gentler and more authentic ways of being and doing in their lives.
In that respect, I believe coaching is the bridge that can connect many from where and how they are to where and how they want to be. I believe coaching can reconnect us to our true nature again, it can provide the path to tapping into our innate wisdom and resourcefulness, it can cause us to remember who we truly are and why we have chosen to come to this human form at this time. I see coaching as an absolutely necessary tool for transformation, as we are experiencing times of profound change on our planet. Our social, intellectual, spiritual, cultural and personal unrest is a sure sign that we are ready to discard old ways and embrace new ones that are loving, supporting, caring, kind and accepting towards one another and our natural world. For me, coaching is a beautiful art of human interaction that can catalyze, engage, support, guide and celebrate the larger transformation that is already taking place on our planet. I see coaches as midwives and doulas in the dawn of a new human existence. As coaches, we are being invited in the most intimate, vulnerable and personal experience of our fellow humans. As such, it is a privilege, an honor and a great responsibility. As such, I see coaching and coaches as great servants to the human transformation in this time and space.
As a personal empowerment and transformational coach, I see my coaching as a labor of the heart. My job, passion and love is to connect with my clients from the heart and discover, see, engage, support and help connect them with their true passions, vocations, joy, purpose and natural gifts and abilities. Together we can explore how they can express these things in the world. In order to that, the clients must know where they are now and also form a vision of what they want to become. Together, we can explore the personal “gravity” (as so eloquently Leon Vanderpol put it) and whatever else holds them back (self-limiting beliefs, old ideas, past experiences, fears, judgments) and find ways to release them in order for new, empowering and serving ways to take their place. We can also discover what propels them forward toward their vision and search for ways to get there. The main focus of my coaching those clients that are searching for my services, is to help them become the highest version of themselves, the people for whom the highest dreams and aspirations are possible. Imagine for a moment that each of us becomes that person, somebody who is so connected with whom they really are and what they have to offer, that their entire life mission and vision is to find ways to manifest the highest good within. I believe that at that point we stop coveting what others have and we solely focus on what we have to offer. So many things that we find challenging, painful and downright disturbing would disappear naturally. There are many of us who wish for such a world and many of us who are pursuing that dream. I see coaching as serving humanity in that respect.
As a coach, in order to serve my clients, I feel I must always be connected to Source, and come from a space of doing and saying things for the highest benefit of all involved. The space in which I meet my clients is sacred and imbued with love, acceptance, support, silence, slowness and well-being. These are the spiritual values I hold dear, and their energies are always present in the coaching relationship. I also bring my intuition, heart based centering and feeling and sensing into the client’s potential and blocks. My goal and desire is to create a space in which all can be explored in a healing environment in which old, non-serving patterns can be brought up to life and let go. It is imperative and my highest motivation to have the client’s best interest at heart while doing this kind of work.
I believe it is an art form of the most beautiful kind to blend spirituality and coaching. It requires presence of the highest kind as well as an absolute knowing that my clients are already complete, whole, connected to Source, with nothing lacking and missing. They are spiritual beings in human form. The coaching then becomes a gentle reminder of the resourcefulness and wisdom within, a way to, As Neale Donald Walsch puts it, “to give people back to themselves”. As I often share with my clients, my job as I see it, is to coach myself out of a job. My goal is to help my clients connect with the source within which is the never ending well of potential, transformation and growth. The clients that I choose to work with, who also choose to work with me, share the same desire and longing. Both the coach and client know that each of us come to this life, body, mind and spirit to express and manifest the highest vision of who we are, the Divine Beauty and Knowing and through that, live a life of personal and spiritual fulfillment.
The coach senses into what the client chooses that to be and gently, kindly and patiently supports the client in that personal transformation. This requires a highly personal, intimate and trusting relationship. The coach must show the qualities necessary in order to allow the client to be fully open, vulnerable, exposed. The coach serves as a nurturer of a beautiful flower which is opening. It requires attention, nourishment, persistence and fortitude to witness the natural unfolding of the client’s human potential. It requires a vast amount of space in which the clients can express themselves as well as explore everything that is necessary for their transformation. This process of coaching will leave the client with tools, internal and external resources that will go far beyond the coaching relationship. The entire coaching relationship is a celebration of human evolution, growth and becoming. To be witness to that is a true honor.
Personal empowerment and transformational coaching is for me my life’s purpose. I feel joy, happiness, fulfillment when I see my clients reaching for their highest potential. It also elicits compassion, love, kindness, patience and faith when I see them struggle. Being a partner for a while on their life journey fills my heart with gratitude, joy, hope and beauty as I see the best in each of my clients, as well as myself. I see myself growing with them, as I learn from each and everyone one of them. It fills my heart with gladness and my eyes with tears as I see the many forms of Divine Beauty and Love in each of us. I feel humble and grateful to have the privilege to peer into the unfolding of Life itself. I will quote Leon Vanderpol when he said that “the greatest gift you can give a client is to have them experience themselves as transformed”. I could not agree more. My job and my life’s work is to continually become that which supports others in their transformation. My growth as a coach and human being is fueled by my desire to serve my clients become whom they see themselves become. To me that is liberation and freedom. Connection to Source (as each of us defines Source) coupled with the individual expression of the soul’s desire can lead to a life of pure love and enjoyment. The focus then, becomes manifesting from inside out. As the saying goes “the world is what you make of it”, wouldn’t it be wonderful if the world became an expression of our beauty within? I am absolutely convinced that coaching can facilitate such a world through the manifestations of our clients’ potentials.
I am truly grateful for my time at International Coach Academy. I have learned and expanded my mind and heart beyond my wildest imagination. I have met so many people (students and trainers) who see and choose to believe in the same kind of world I do. I am so grateful for the experiences, the knowledge, the wisdom, the love and the patience I have encountered on this awesome journey. I have been absolutely humbled and positively inspired by the coaches here. I have great faith and hope for the world to come because they work each will do, and their will positive impact our life on this planet. I am grateful for the coaches and the clients who will benefit from our work together. The way I see it, we are serving humanity together. Our transformation gives permission to our children to do the same. As Marianne Williamson so eloquently put it: “As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence actually liberates others.”
My heart is filled with joy and anticipation as all of us who are graduating and leaving ICA to do work in the world, do so from a place of love and kindness. I am excited for the time to come as each of us let our individual light shine. Soon the world can be filled with light workers who promote goodness, highest human potential and awesomeness in each of our clients. I am grateful to Source and each and everyone one of my fellow students and trainers for their inspiration and beauty. Let your Light shine bight!
