Reality and Options:
This part does three things
- It asks you to reduce the number of goals down to three goals. Maybe the goals above match overlap or can be grouped together? , Maybe you can select three goals very clearly out of this. In any case it is good to realise that it is very difficult to reach more goals next to the already existing work you are doing. Therefore be selective in what you want to achieve.
- Checks the reality of these goals. It can be that you have chosen a goal that is very difficult in the existing setting of Mango Tree or in the abilities available for you at the moment. Most of the questions in this part help you to think through whether the goals you are setting are realistic to achieve in one year. It can be that you have to pick another goal, set a goal as a stepping stone for this year to reach the goal you want to achieve or redefine the goal in a way that it does work.
- The last element is looking at the options to reach your goal. Maybe you cannot reach the goal in one way but it is achievable in another way?
Will:
The last element in this template is looking at the will to do it. As mentioned eventually with all the support you can get you have to do this yourself. Therefore you have to make a planning and think about what can stop you from reaching your goal. Thinking this through beforehand and getting the input from others will help you sharpen your planning and will bring a higher chance of success.
