Why Knowing What You Want Is Important
My work as an Intuitive Spiritual Life Coach involves me using skills I have learned through life experience, plus what I have learned through professional coach training. Tools and techniques I use are intuition, listening, interpreting, life experience, compassion, bonding, empowerment, action, and angel tarot cards for additional insight and support. I often find myself working with people, mostly women, between 25-45 years of age, which are going through life transitions and have to make choices that impact them in major ways. I find that women are more apt to seek counsel, talk about their feelings, and are more likely to follow through with plans once they are set in motion.
My job is to trust my intuition, support them with my ability to decipher what they are saying and what they are trying to achieve, and then help them reach decisions and actions that make them comfortable. After that has been achieved in a session, I give a reading to the client with the various decks of oracle cards that I possess. Clients love this because they get instant confirmation of the discussion we just had. It proves to them, through their own personal experience, that they are always loved, guided and supported by their own angelic team. It also helps them understand that our meeting and working together was not a coincidence, but a beautiful orchestration of the Divine putting me in their lives to help them along their path. My life purpose is to teach them.
I intend to clarify why it is important to understand what it is that you desire from and for your life. It is my belief that a person must be very clear on their intentions for their life. In order to achieve a sense of gratification and accomplishment one must be able to have a clear picture of what is it they want. If no vision exists, and in much detail, how can you say you have achieved and been successful in something if there was nothing in particular you intended on having in the first place?
Furthermore, because I am a Spiritual Life Coach I teach people how recognizing their Divinity[1] is especially helpful in feeling supported, almost infallible, in working towards happiness and success. Recognizing my own Divinity caused me to achieve a level of [2]happiness even when facing some of life’s most challenging events. I still feel successful even though it may look like failure or disappointment to others. When they picture themselves in the same scenarios they can’t imagine how there could be anything good to come out of it, much less getting through it without being self-destructive. It surprises folks how positive and forward-looking I am even, in the midst of seeming chaos. Although, I am technically baptized Catholic, I hadn’t had any regular church attendance since I was a toddler until most recent years. So my quest for answers did not come through a particular religion. In fact, I read about many different types of religions before choosing a spiritual center to stay grounded in faith. The one that has captured my time is a non-denominational center that embraces all races, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. It is a reflection of my open-mindedness, beliefs, and I believe it helps me coach a variety of people and circumstances while remaining detached from having opinion, thereby keeping fairness in the coaching conversation.
The Intention
When I began seeking out the meaning and significance spirituality has on the lives of people, I was looking for answers to possibly help myself. I wanted to know what makes people happy. It seemed to me that people who sent blessings or prayed for you always seemed to be positive and uplifting in a way that somehow seemed slightly more genuine and reassuring than that average gesture of goodwill. It appeared that their go-to answer for life’s challenges was faith in something bigger than themselves. I got the impression that they were fine with whatever the outcome was going to be. Perhaps they knew something about the saying “let go and let God” and the power of those words that nobody else understood. But did things really turn out for the best in the end? How could someone know if the outcome was better than the alternative? What if they didn’t even know what the options were or where to turn? How could there be comfort in knowing absolutely nothing about where you are headed?
The opposite end of the spectrum is people who have zero faith in Spirit. They could be self-reliant and positive all of their own accord and this could fuel their happiness and success. One could have so much faith in themselves that they could stay empowered and self-focused and be driven through life. Or someone could be self-destructive and negative. This could cause them to be listless, unmotivated, down on themselves and situations. So what is the difference between people who are happy and feel they have succeeded versus people who feel they have little or nothing and see no future? When does one stop needing or wanting, and to what degree? Do the people who stomp on others in order to get ahead feel happy and fulfilled?
My own quest for happiness and success became an infatuation years ago and continues to this day. For the purposes of this research, and to better define what it was I was searching for, we need to look at the meaning[3] of the words “success” and “happiness”. Success is the correct or desired result of an attempt [at whatever it was that you are desiring and working towards]. Happiness is a state of well-being, contentment, joy, a pleasurable or satisfying experience. What I am talking about in this discussion is the level of happiness one has achieved with whatever it was they have done in their life to work towards achieving a desired result or attempt.
Most often this necessity for happiness and success arises from someone questioning their status in life. People wonder if they should be married, have kids, own a home, have a career, have a savings, time to travel, start a business, etc. These few examples are probably making you think of some of your own goals and lifelong desires. What feeling does that invoke in you? Are you happy and successful? Maybe you’re one and not the other… Is one enough? If it’s enough for you, is it enough for someone else you might feel accountable towards? Do you care?
Sometimes the change of status you experience is not just a question of the mind, but a forced change you weren’t expecting such as a job loss, ending of a relationship, a death, a change of financial status, or an opened door of opportunity that you aren’t sure you should step through. In those cases, how you handle yourself could be a key indicator of whether or not you are successful. In turn, if you are not successful your chances of achieving happiness are severely limited, if not impossible, at that point. It would be difficult to sing praises of joy after feeling defeated.
What I Learned and Why I Teach
Through my own need to be fulfilled with life, especially through love, I started seeking spiritual counsel in the form of psychics. I wanted to know what lay ahead and what I could do to speed it up. What I learned was far deeper than I can go into here. The bottom line is your destiny is whatever you choose it to be, lessons are for your growth and they teach you how to choose, and there isn’t much a psychic can tell you about what will become of you. They can, however, tell you where you are headed with the current path you are on. They can also tell you tons about what you have done in the past, with great clarity and a different focus than you probably viewed it with in the first place.
I became empowered with the knowledge that I can choose my destiny. The power that came with that made me feel invincible and started teaching me to take chances because I knew they were going to work out even better than I had imagined. And what didn’t work out was still great because it taught me something that made me even more powerful, opened the doors to greater, and filtered things out of my life that I thought I needed but were really bad for me. Knowing I was practically invincible was a direct power I gained from learning how to communicate with God, the angels, and my spirit guides. So, this is what I teach. People want to know how things magically work out for me and I teach them how to notice the signs of communication with Spirit and build their self-esteem, confidence, and make better choices for themselves.
The purpose of my research on happiness and success is to determine if what I am offering is the most likely way to achieve that happiness, or if it simply one method that works quite well. I asked random people through various social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and through my physical place of work to participate in the short survey. I also offered a free mini tarot card reading to people who filled out my survey[4],
