When someone feels fear, or is fearful of a situation or an event, this person becomes hesitant, doubtful and indecisive. This person will be washed over with many negative feelings until these feelings present them selves as realities.
When you are fearful you hesitate, procrastinate and drag your feet to whatever it is you need to do. When you are fearful, you are unable to think logically or sensibly, your fear grips you, holds you from your very core and guides you and your actions. When you are fearful you are insensible, irrational, illogical and unreasonable. You are unable to think straight, view the situation from all angles and decide on your course of action.
Fear is a four-letter word that stops you from many things in life, from the important to the mundane. Fear can come in many shapes and forms. You can have a fear of failing, fear of ridicule, fear of embarrassment, fear of rejection, fear of opinions, or a fear of judgments. Conquer one of those fears, and you will conquer your goals and aspirations.
Fear lets you go about your life in a circle. You start with self-doubt, which leads you to not take action and move forward, and when you do not take action, then you do not leave your mark or your foot-print in the world. You allow your fear to take a hold of your life and to make your life choices and decisions for you.
Self Application
We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face… we must do that which we think we cannot.
Eleanor Roosevelt
The beauty of confidence is that its something you can train your self to have. There are many ways that you can quell your fear and appear triumphant over it. Only then will you be able to bask in your newfound confidence and use it to your own advantage. At that point, your new found confidence will enable you to reach heights that you may have thought previously impossible.
One of the things that you can remind your self when you are in a place of fear, is to remember what fear stands for. Remember it as F.E.A.R instead of fear.
F.E.A.R stands for:
F False
E Evidence
A Apear
R Real
This means that what you will need to remind your self next time you feel fear, is that this fear is fabricated by your self, this fear is what is stopping you from being the best you can be. It is precisely this fear that is not letting you shine. It is a story you tell your self to convince your self from succeeding. But now that you have uncovered the truth, will you stop your self from the success that is rightfully yours?
