A grateful mind is a great mind which eventually attracts great things to itself. Plato
Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned. Buddha
Every day we experience a perfectly normal emotion, anger. But for how long do we stay with this feeling? Are we developed through it or not?
Anger is an emotion toward someone or something you feel has deliberately done wrong. Anger can be a good thing. It can give you a way to express negative feelings, for example, or motivate you to find solutions to problems.
But it can also cause problems. It can lead to problems—problems at work, in your personal relationships, and in the overall quality of your life. And it can make you feel as though you’re at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion. (Adapted from the Encyclopedia of Psychology)
In the case where anger motivates us to find solutions or healthy ways to express feelings, then we should be thankful for that feeling. In the case where anger keeps us inactive, angry, unproductive and with tendencies to transmit our anger then we should probably do something. We should assume responsibility and heal our anger.
I feel deep gratitude that I can understand this reality and I can decide on my next step.
Deep gratitude has so many applications.
Everything in our lives is a matter of perspective. The most classic example is the half full or half empty glass, depending how you look at it. Here I will look at the perspective of anger and gratitude.
Anger is born and is expressed through relations and within members who compose them.
The following charts show the causes / factors and representations of anger in daily life.

Social causes of Anger
Internal Anger Triggers
As mentioned above, all are a matter of perspective. In the case of “Anger” the answer is gratitude.
Three proposals meet all sectors.
The number 3 on numerology – Synthesis, triad, heaven-human-earth, past-present-future, thought-word-action, demonstrates love through creative imagination, comprehensive, fulfilling.
Our life is a garden which needs cultivation and care.
What fruit we pick depends on what seed we plant. Anger begins as seed. Its development can be brief and soon be dried up and pass. But it could be destined to a tree which means deep, long roots.
In the same garden, though, we can plant gratitude. From small daily stuff, like seeds, as they grow and become trees, gratitude will have already become a way of life.
Coaching Application
Through sessions we can awaken gratitude.
In the case where anger is identified, the coach asks from the coachee to see reasons of gratitude for this situation.
Gratitude motivates.
Once the coachee identifies the reason for gratitude, decide what the next step is. At this very moment he has come out of the stagnation of anger, and has been in the Present. In NOW.
Reflections
The Next step for the coach is the recognition of the emotion, which offers the sense of NOW. We can ask him how he feels right now. How does he feel having dressed with gratitude that previous state; if there are any other situations which he would like to dress with gratitude.
Gratitude, as a way of life
In what ways can gratitude pass in everyday life? There are people who like keeping a diary, enjoy poetry or walking and thinking. They may love composing their own songs or paintings. Gratitude can be expressed in many ways, through communication up to the expression of thoughts and creativity.
