Everyone is unique in their own way. Although we all share the same beginning of life at birth and the end of life at death, but what matters most is what lies in between that is defined as our journey of life.
Many seek for their own purpose and meaning in life. Few actually succeeds and blessed they are but most others got lost and gave up somewhere along the way. Everyone is hoping that there is a straight forward guideline to this, but unfortunately there isn’t one simply because each and every one of us is UNIQUE.
Therefore, the purpose of Coaching is to help guide YOU along your journey of discovery. As long as you are ready and have the desire and passion in you.
Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. Albert Einstein
STEP 1: Self-Awareness
The first step is the crucial step for the client to first understand his ownself better. Coaching is all about the client so this first step will lay the very basic but strong foundation where the client goes through self exploration and creating a strong sense of self awareness. What are your underlying beliefs? What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? What makes you tick?
STEP 2: Setting the GOAL
After going through the process of self-awareness and get a better understanding of his ownself, the client will now be able to see a clearer picture of his desired achievement. This will then lead to the setting of the goal to be achieved. It is possible that the client may list out more than one goal but it is important for the client to choose and focus on one goal at a time.
STEP 3: Plan and explore
This is the next step after setting the goal which is to layout a plan to achieve the goal in an orderly manner. This is also the part where it is crucial to explore wide and deep the various ways and options available for the client towards achieving the goal.
STEP 4: Action
We then come to most important step which is to take ACTION. Dreams will just be dreams without action which clearly implies that nothing will be achieved unless the client put his plans into action. Throughout this process of taking action, the coach can only provide support and guidance but the client will have to bear with most of the work on his own.
STEP 5: Review
This is the part that checks on the progress and keeps the direction in check along the way as the client puts his plans into action. The review is for the client to assess his achievement progressively and to put some thought into challenges or problems that arise along way. At times, the review can also reveal if some changes to the plan are necessary or sometimes even changing the final goal.
STEP 6: Rejoice
This is where acknowledgement comes in where the client should celebrate the little wins and each step along the way. This is the fuel of positive energy that will keep the client motivated along his journey towards achieving the final goal. Great success doesn’t come overnight, but rather is the accumulation of the little achievements.
