The Components
The Sweet Spot coaching model offers a holistic approach to living a life in the state of ‘flow’.
It is based on the idea that for anyone to feel deeply satisfied with their lives, their reality and the goals they set need to be congruent with what their inner selves desire.
The route to discovering these inner desires is by examining current goals and reality against a back-drop of expanding self-awareness.
Goals
Clients may come to coaching with clear goals.
They may need help getting unstuck and building momentum to move forwards, which they have been unable to do for a while.
They may be looking for identification and clarity of goals.
They may be struggling with goals which have been superimposed on them by others.
They may have found that goals they had sincerely worked towards, do not bring the satisfaction they had expected.
Reality
The client’s reality consists of their external environment, relationships and resources.
It also consists of their internal reality, including their mental & intellectual properties, personality & character traits, perceptions, emotions and desires.
The client’s current reality, as is apparent now, has evolved from the cohesion of their internal and external realities.
The Coaching Process
The coaching process involves the use of questioning techniques, powerful listening, tools and assessments.
It probes the client’s goals and reality and supports them in developing a deeper inner awareness by identifying values and strengths. The process also uncovers perceived barriers, underlying sabotaging beliefs and motivations.
As awareness grows, clarity develops, and new perspectives emerge.
In a very organic way, the client begins to see new and different opportunities. Goals get refined and crystallized.
