Clap your hands Have some fun Set down the run and play. Let yourself go. It’s really Ok, to be happy. Big smile on your face, completes the race, so you can go home inside, into love. Lao Tzu
Why SMILE?
This model is designed to help clients find the perfect work-life balance and make them SMILE at the end of the coaching journey.
This model reflects me as a coach, because people who know me say that I always have a smile on my face. That my joy for life gives them a model to put into practice. That I am positive towards people, non judgmental and take them seriously. That I have a talent of making people laugh; passing on my smile and laughter to someone else.
A beautiful statement made by a client:
Your smile sometimes tells me things I never thought of before.
This is why I have called my model ‘SMILE’ and I wish for everybody that experiences this coaching model to enjoy a paradigm shift and be left with a smile after discovering the perfect balance between work and life.
Together with you I dance in the circle around the perfect harmony between work and life.
I see the smile on your face when you are happy with your work and your life environment. We co-create Yin and Yang, work and life, and according to Chinese philosophy the one cannot exist without the other.
The tool I work with is called ‘Appreciative Inquiry’. This asserts that we appreciate what is good, valuable and working in your present life, we build on that and together we shift to a more positive perspective. We discover and learn about your unique strengths that will enable a positive change for the future and bring real success.
I am curious about what brings energy, I truly believe in your potential for discovery, growth and full and effective living your work- life balance and achieving your dream. Everything we appreciate grows and ends with a smile.
I walk alongside with you, hold you accountable, praise your successes and build momentum in a positive atmosphere.
The Dalai Lama was asked what surprised him most, he said:
Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.
I want you to be positive, see what you have achieved, who you are, go outside, be proud of yourself, SMILE and LIVE- in the present and the future!
Set up the agenda
We start our coaching relationship. I create a safe, trustful environment and atmosphere. We schedule the sessions and you set the agenda.
I invite you to speak about your current situation and to share your personal and unique experiences with me.
I will ask significant questions:
What makes you smile about your life and work right now?
List at least three of your key strengths. What are you really great at?
What percentage of your time do you show and live your strengths?
When in life do you feel fully energetic?
I ask you to specify the areas you want to work on and structures that have to be put in place
What aspects of your work and life would you like to focus on today?
What would be the perfect outcome for today? What does your heart say?
What structures are you going to put in place in order to help you reach that outcome?
and I give you the space for silence if needed
If you need time for answering certain questions, be still and enjoy the space of silence that I will provide.
