A Coaching Model Created by Ram Levin

Introduction
Many of us are stuck with a narrow image of how life should look like. I was inspired by the power of coaching that is able to transform that image into a limitless 360 degrees image. After transforming my own life, I felt it was my mission to help others to crush their limiting beliefs, wear a new set of glasses to view the world and give new meanings to their life experiences.
I was fascinated and inspired by people who got from rags to riches in a relatively short time. These are people who were willing to go deeper within them and do whatever it takes to achieve their impossible goals. By changing their mindset, they changed their lives from one extreme to the other.
As a Coach, I believe that my role is to support people through their mindset transformation process, which is the biggest obstacle to success.
The success model may look overwhelming at first, but when broken down to its segments, you will see the natural flow of it. The model is based on the process successful people went through and shared their secrets in numerous books.
Success Model
State
The journey starts with identifying which state the client is.
Humans live in either a beautiful state or a suffering state (Tony Robbins).
Beautiful Sate
The beautiful state represents happiness, love, peace, gratitude, curiosity, compassion, optimism, excitement, etc. In the beautiful state, you do the right thing and no one has to tell you, it is automatic. You also treat yourself and others well.
Suffering State
The suffering state represents stress, worry, fear, frustration, anger, jealousy, boredom, impatience, sadness, etc. Most decisions taken while in the suffering state will have negative consequences.
You have the ability to move back and forth between these two states of being and this is your choice, whether you allow yourself to remain in a suffering state or live in a beautiful state. If you do not manage your mind, you can have “everything you want” and still be in pain, be suffering.
The human mind is not designed to make you happy, it designed to make you survive and it does that by fear. It is important to bring the client into a beautiful state at the beginning of the process and keep him/her there throughout the journey.
Outcome (intention)
Now when the client is in a beautiful state, we focus on the outcome; clarify what are the intentions toward the end goal of the client. In other words, establishing the coaching agreement.
Why
As Simon Sinek says “Start with WHY”. Asking this simple question can save a lot of time and frustration at later stages. Why the client wants to achieve this specific outcome is an important question to clarify thoughts and go deeper into what is behind them. When people know why they do what they do, it is easier to find the “How” to do it.
Belief
Probably the biggest obstacle in any personal development process is to identify the limiting beliefs and transform them into empowering beliefs. Since early childhood, we see the world through other people’s eyes. Let it be our parents, siblings, teachers, friends, etc. We, therefore, create a system of beliefs about what we can or cannot do. What is good and what is bad, what is possible and what is impossible.
The education system teaches us that failing is bad and that you are “not good enough” since you got only 70% on the chemistry exam.
These childhood experiences shape the way we see the world in our adulthood. Unfortunately, all those limiting beliefs are lies that others and ourselves have costumed to believe as truth.
Many “aha” moments during a coaching session occur at the stage that the client realizes that there is another way to see the world, limitless path that leads to the ultimate success.
Plan
After the limiting beliefs have been removed, the client is already confident in the possibility to achieve the goals. This is the time to create a plan. A good plan transforms the “impossible” into “possible”. It lays the path toward the goal by setting actionable steps based on a timeframe.
Motivation
After the foundations are in place, it is time to explore what are the hot points of the client, what makes him/her excited and what are the values that get him/her to start the actionable phase. It is important to create triggers in the client’s mind to link pain to failure and pleasure to success. An important factor to build motivation is by changing “I should do this” to“I must do this.
Action
A goal without a plan is just a dream and a plan without an action is just a wishlist.
This is the time to get serious and take massive action. Without action, there will be no results. This may cause a downward spiral in the client’s emotional state, which may lead back to a suffering state. Not getting the desired results “confirm” the client’s old limiting beliefs we tried to get rid of before.
Create Habits
Motivation gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going (Jim Rohn).
It is crucial to create habits to support the needed actions. For lasting results, the client must work hard to create the habits that will support the transformation. Our subconscious mind is much more powerful than our conscious mind. In order to keep going through future obstacles, one must manage the subconscious mind. This is accomplished by crafting the necessary habits.
Results
Soon after taking action, results will start to show up. As we all know, things not always go according to plan, to say the least. This means that results can be either success or failure.
Success à Celebrate
It is important to celebrate even the smallest achievements. Something that many people neglect to do. Too many people are a critic of a tiny failure or setback but ignore their successes. As a coach, I feel it is important to champion the client or his/her achievements, no matter how small they are.
Failure = Feedback
Failure is a part of the process. Ask any successful person, there was much more failure than success on the way up. It is important to take failure in the right perspective. Failure is not a bad thing and we should not see it as such. It is a crucial step to learn from mistakes and become better at what we do. There is no failure, there is only feedback. The coach helps the client to change the meaning of “failing” or “unsuccessful” events, into “feedback” to grow, improve and adjust accordingly.
After the client realizes what went wrong and what can be learned from it. It is time to go back and adjust the plan to fit the new reality. With the new plan, there will be different actions and probably different habits to create.
The success model repeats for every specific goal until accomplished.
The key here is to stay in a beautiful state no matter what happens. When in a beautiful state, solutions will come from a positive perspective rather from fear and suffering place.
