A Coaching Model Created by Prianca Naik
(Life Coach, UNITED STATES)
The purpose of the coaching model “Stresscleanse MD” is to support clients to change their relationship with stress by focusing on their own wellness, self-care, and mindfulness.
The client
The client is typically an overworked professional mother who is having trouble with a balanced life. The focus of this model is the client’s needs. They learn strategies to reduce anxiety, lighten their load, and focus on finding home within themselves. The client determines how her session will go by deciding what to bring to the table that day. Before the coaching begins the client will complete a questionnaire highlighting major stressors and goals. This allows the client and coach to work together in making progress.
The coach
When supporting a client through a period as emotionally involved as stress, the coach must be completely present and non-judgmental during the process. The stresscleanse model provides a safe space for the client to be honest, vulnerable, and direct. The coach will help the client get distance from thoughts and feelings through Brooke Castillo’s model as well as a mindfulness practice.
This coaching model will explore CTFAR:
The Stresscleanse model enables clients to examine their thoughts and feelings. They will learn that they are actually in control of those thoughts and feelings, hence the result in the end. Clients can adjust their thoughts and feelings to yield a particular result. One can work this model backward and start with the result to see what feeling and thought she would need to attain result X.
Supporting the client to design and action her desired results in terms of her own thoughts and feelings empowers and motivates the client. She will realize that she is truly in control of herself and her future.
