3. Often, clients’ action plans are over-ambitious, considering their other priorities and their constraints.
They then don’t achieve and get demoralized. The coach should help the client start with the tiny-est possible step towards the solution. The goal getting into the victorious cycle of winning is critical for the coach to help the client achieve!

Step 6: Build Opportunities for Celebration with EVERY step!
Clients often do not think about celebrating their small wins along the way. One scaffolding the coach can provide is to help the client decide for EVERY step, small or large, what would be the way she/ he would celebrate…and to support that happening! 1. In the early part of the coaching, when the coach is getting to know the client, discuss with the client how he/ she likes to celebrate or pamper herself/ himself. Let them reflect on and articulate small and big ways to congratulate himself and herself. E.g. a) When someone congratulates you for something you’ve done with a gift, what gift would you love to receive? b) How do you like to pamper yourself? Help the client make a list of all these presents, small, medium and big! 2. Whenever an action is firmed up, immediately ask the client to choose from the list as to how she is going to celebrate the achievement of this action? 3. When the action is achieved, especially the tiny-est ones at the start,“insist” that the client has taken her “present” and celebrated her achievement
