Human life is series of connected events which unfolds in front of us. What we do today we reap in the results tomorrow. Holistic Coaching Model supports the client in identifying the goals which are holistic in nature and addresses the whole issue rather than parts of smaller issues. This model believes that smaller issues may be the symptoms of much bigger life threating and derailing issues. That’s why identifying the bigger issues are very important for the clients to take up leadership roles in their endeavours.
O-Outcome desired
Once the Holistic short term and long term goals are identified then the coaches job is to support the clients in crystallizing the desired outcome for both short term and long term goals. The long term and short term goals must be decided in that order and the expected outcomes for both the situations must be spelt clearly at the coaching initiation process.
L-Learn You
Life is nothing but understanding yourself. This is the current reality. If you want to understand the world and change the circumstances suitable to you then the first step is to become aware of closest to you i.e. yourself. Selfawareness is foremost aspect of getting the awareness needed to conquer the world. In a way it will not be untrue to say that the conquest of the world starts with self. The best way to change the world is to see the change in yourself. The person who is Self-aware is most suitable to lead in all aspects of life.
I-Importance of Values
Either you design the life for yourself or somebody else will. In that situation you will only follow others dictate and you will follow other’s footstep. Such a life is actually not yours but you actually live someone else’s life.
A Valuable life is life with Values. However the most critical part is identifying the values you stand for. Most of the values will be just to satisfy other’s needs and when it comes to our own values then these must be identified and steps must be taken to utilize them to reach our life goals. In order to live a Holistic life proper alignment of ones Values and Goals so that we can give our 100% to achieve them. Once the Values are identified then the Purpose of Life must be decided which will help us in decided on our Life Goals. A satisfied and content life is one which one which is properly aligned.
S-Search for Solutions
Once the short term and long term goals are identified and the value system is designed the next step is to search of solutions of the desired outcome. The best way is to search for multiple solutions which is possible through Lateral thinking. This will help in getting various possibilities which in turn brings up other unidentified issues much before they are identified consciously.
T-Transactional and Transformational change & Tools for Life Changing Decisions
The Holistic Coaching model take the Transactional approach for short term and Transformational approach for long term issues which can be Life Changing Decisions and has multiple layers of behavioural changes.
Here the coach uses various tools like Mind Tools for understanding the deeper emotional issues and Power Tools to enforce perspective change.
I-Implementation of the Actionable
No learning is complete unless it is actioned upon. Action is the most crucial part of any awareness. Holistic Coaching model is forward looking and action oriented and needs the support, encouragement of the coach for the client to drive the actions/changes agreed upon.
C-Coachieve and Celebrate
Holistic Coaching Model believes Coachieving the entire process of change for making the Holistic goals a reality. Due acknowledgement and right encouragement is necessary for client as the coach constantly holds the vision and Celebrate the milestones and the final goal.
