Holistic Coaching models contains the following elements Values and principle
This coaching model is called Holistic coaching model because it sees an individual’s life as a whole rather than in parts .The basic belief as per this model is that if any person wants to change something in his life it cannot be in parts, as any issue in his life touches every aspect of his life.
The issue which may be a behavioural disorder or any logical, will always translate into something emotional in nature. The model deals with Professional and Personal matters in the same breath and believes that for a human being profession is a part of his personality and so deals with that issues related to his personal and professional lives as a whole.
Vision of coach/client relationship
The Holistic Coaching Model is basically for addressing long term issues concerning the client’s life. This takes longer to get into the solutions and is more critical to resolve and needs more effort for taking actions. Holistic Coaching model does not at any time says the short term goals or issues will not be addressed .However this model always take the long term view of the short term problems as any short term issues can have long term scars in a human being. So it is imperative to take a long term view of all short term or long term issues.
Tool
The Holistic Coaching Model utilizes various tools to address the short term and long term issues of the client. It supports the clients with designing their lives with identifying the Values and Life Purposes and also supports the clients with various Life skills necessary to cross the ocean of life.
Similarly this model makes the coach utilize various Mind Tools to unearth the real underlying beliefs and also uses various Power Tools to change and shift the perspective of the client which makes him see the life differently.
Elements of coaching process
The Holistic Coaching Model takes the Transactional approach for resolving the Short term issues and Transformational approach for taking care of Long term issues. Holistic Coaching Model reflects a long term relationship between the coach and the client. This aspect helps the client to get the support of the coach throughout his life. The coach supports the clients with Life changing Decisions which are necessary to take the client to the Leadership role in all his endeavour.
The Holistic coaching model helps the coach by bring up and resolve the more chronic emotional issues which stays with the client for years together.
