The shape of the underwater portion can be difficult to judge by looking at the portion above the surface. An iceberg is a large piece of freshwater ice (…)
This has led to the expression “tip of the iceberg“, for a problem or difficulty that is only a small manifestation of a larger problem.”(c) Wikipedia
In case we speak about problem solving which in coaching language is more likely called as a goal achievement, we can accept each goal achievement as a cycle starting from awareness moving to celebrating. All stages in between those achievements should be divided into two parts: visible (we can see and comprehend them) and invisible (which are under water and therefore beyond our capability to comprehend them). Visible part is much tinier than invisible one. Therefore the invisible part of the iceberg can be perceived as a preparation stage for the activation of visible part. Basing on the above mentioned it should be deducted that invisible part of the coaching process is more focused on the inner world of the client, so it could take a lot more of time to come to the action part, that’s why it is so important to have a coach to ensure the passing of the full circle.
The model below describes the way to develop a deeply hidden dream realization thus ensuring the realization of life purpose defining process.
