A Coaching Model Created by Olga Bassai
(Life and Career Coach, INDIA)
The Oxford dictionary defines REALIZATION as
an act of becoming fully aware of something as a fact, to understand clearly and distinctly.
The REALIZATION Coaching Model is an explicit framework that combines the process-focused and benefits-focused approaches into one and provides the foundation of a successful coaching relationship.
The REALIZATION Coaching Model is broken down into 2 stages:
- Define
- Refine
The DEFINE stage – 3D Process
The define stage uses an explicit and practical 3D framework that allows the coach to clearly explain the coaching approach to clients. After the approach is clearly understood, together client and coach can then determine whether or not they should work together, and if so, how to proceed.
The 3D framework can be viewed as three pillars: Describe, Decode and Design. They serve as the structure for the coaching conversation. These pillars come under the umbrella of general and key guiding principles that govern the working relationship between the coach and the client. Working within these principles is the best way to preserve the client’s free and informed choice and to ensure equal partnership with the coach.
The coach is in charge of the process, the client is in charge of the content.

Describe
An important part of self-development is the capacity to self-observe. By describing the situation during the coaching relationship the client can learn to be objective.
