A Coaching Model Created by Kelly Dadah

Assessment & Evaluation
This has been my coaching model for the past five years. I offer my clients a ½ free consult to decide whether or not it is a career coach they need and if we are an appropriate match for each other. The first few sessions or more, we spend assessing and evaluating together. What are the clients passions? What do they enjoy the most? In what areas do they excel? Any restraints or areas such as financial or education that we need to consider? What type of work are they willing to do to make their desired career a reality? I ask my clients if they would like to do a career assessment using Career ID that we discuss in detail as well. This really helps us expand some options that the client hasn’t considered and offers them more opportunities.
Strategy
We discuss what needs to be done in order to achieve their desired career. Education, research, volunteer work, networking are just a few actives that we suggest. Most often there is the question “Am I making the right move?”. I always suggest research and have them come up with a strategy that is comfortable for them to secure the right information.
Action
What does it take in order to obtain their desired job? Here we discuss changes that need to be made to their resume and cover letter, their job search strategy – how they plan on looking for their new job and interview techniques.
Desired Results
Most often I work with my clients until they feel comfortable that they can navigate through the job search portion on their own. Some choose to work with me until they find their desired job.
