A Coaching Model By Adrian Baban, Coaching for Change Coach, ROMANIA
The Essence of Having a Choice
JUMP – Coaching for Change
You must be ready to jump when the time is right, so you can continue to grow personally and professionally. Visioning your future self often requires jumping or enrolling in different roles and career paths. Change is hard. Ask anyone who has tried to switch careers, develop a new skill, improve a relationship, or break a bad habit.
However, you tend to achieve more when you adopt a growth mindset attitude and when you are in a positive state both psychologically and physically.
The JUMP coaching model is about consistency, committing to spending a small amount of time every day on the plan you want to build on. JUMP explores the “essence of having a choice” empowering you by setting clear goals, identifying challenges, creating for each small step actionable plans, and regularly evaluating progress towards your desired outcomes.
My coaching framework will help you to:
- learn about yourself.
- discover where you are stuck.
- discover what thoughts are limiting your progress.
- discover what thinking is creating turmoil or conflict.
- navigate a path for change using your unique talents and gifts.
Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck, somewhere you don’t belong.

In this initial step, rapport and trust need to be built in order for you to be open, feel comfortable, and embrace change. Change always comes with action.
Where you are and how you feel needs to be explored in order to identify the subject of coaching and create a strong foundation for the coaching process. You will embark on a transformational journey, discovering more about yourself and the purpose of change you desire.
In our time together, what can we focus on that will [bring you value / be of importance / make a difference]?
Understand
In this step, I will ask you to articulate, justify, and solidify your goal. Why the goal is important to you, how it aligns with your values, aspirations, and overall vision. As well will also remove ambiguity, discern truth from perceptions, and help you have the right mindset. Start by accepting the reality of the situation while recognizing and accepting barriers to change it. Once your situation is understood, for what it is, we will start working on uncommon and creative solutions to make it better.
How will you know that we figured out what you need in this conversation?
Map
The first step in developing a good plan is to define what success looks like. At this stage, you will work to create a roadmap or action plan by breaking down the goal into smaller and manageable steps. You will set specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound objectives by exploring potential strategies, resources, and support systems required to accomplish each step.
The entire map will be linked with your purpose, truth, and vision.
What is about you that makes you special to other people?
Progress
The last step is your setup for success. You will regularly assess and track progress towards the defined objectives by creating accountability. Also, you will self-reflect on your achievements, setbacks, and lessons learned by acknowledging your progress, continuous growth, and improvement.
You will reflect on your experiences and insights gained throughout the coaching journey and how you can apply them to create the desired change.
What would it mean for you if this was finished?
“The essence of having a choice” through the JUMP coaching model is based on deep curiosity and respect for the uniqueness of another human being. The model was created to flow with any desired outcome a client may present professionally or personally.
JUMP coaching model will enable you to discover what keeps you “stuck” and how to advance between obstacles that are in your way.
Change efforts of any kind require time and energy, open all of us up to thinking creatively, and help us to learn and grow in meaningful and sustainable ways.
