A Coaching Model By Elena Scolaro, Job Transition – Business Coach, ITALY
Finding Your Inner Spark
We all have sparkles inside us. These inner sparks can give us the ability to create purpose and meaning, the ability to inspire others, a reason to get excited and passionate, and the ability to add something extraordinary to the world in our own unique way.
The problem is, we are really good at ignoring that call. Even neglecting it at times.
We see our inner spark as something whimsical. Childlike perhaps. It’s not the real world.
The truth is that our inner spark can often be suffocated by external conventional thinking and social pressures. Our fear and procrastination can also play their parts.
Ignoring our spark means we risk living on borrowed terms, not our own. We run the risk of living a life we’re not passionate about living[1].
Inner sparks are connected with our true self, what is meaningful, and what we are outstanding. Our spark can be a powerful source to unlock our potential, and we can reclaim it for ourselves and start to be guided to our fulfillment.
My Coaching Philosophy
I believe human beings are extraordinary creatures full of resources and unexpressed talents. Far too often, we are stretched into a very narrow life (means personal and/or professional). This narrowness, this “darkness,” hides the resources inside us to reach our fulfillment and satisfaction.
We should start listening to ourselves and let that voice, let that sparks inside us, indicate what is that we want, what is the resources that we have forgotten. My coaching will support you in turning on the light and finding your spark to be where you want to be.

My Clients
Change has always fascinated and puzzled me at the same time. You may see it as an opportunity or a threat, but it is still constantly around us.
Over time I improved my ability to see change positively and never missed the chance to improve myself and try a new version of myself.
My clients are individuals or organizations who want to create opportunities for change. Revert the sense of being out of control, doubts, and unsureness into something that makes you feel progress.
I have extensive experience[1] in HR management and organizations and would offer my clients the best support I can give to embark on these significant transitions. It can be an individual wanting to change jobs or start a new career path or an organization that embarks on a change management project.
My Inner Spark Coaching Model
In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those who rekindle the inner spirit.- Albert Schweitzer
This coaching model is inspired by the idea of an authentic self inside all of us that you can nurture and follow to achieve your fulfillment.
Finding your spark is a powerful way to be connected with yourself. You can think about it as a sort of good cue. Something that makes you sing is winning and thriving. Those good signals tell us that we are in the right direction to do, think and wish for something meaningful that truly belongs to us.
Keeping up with our routines and doing the same things gives us a sense of calmness. Our brain relaxes and, for example, even if we are not happy with our job anymore, we can still find pleasure taking coffee at the same bar under our office. Small things give us a sense of wholeness.
Embark on a change make us break this sensation. For a while, we experiment with a sense of emptiness that can be seen with fear or positivity, like we finally have space to try something new and create new habits and a more fulfilling life.
This coaching model will guide you from an internal exploration of yourself and let you capture and use your inner sparks to lead and guide you to the “place” you want to be.
The extraordinary power of choices determines who we are but sometimes, when we are not entirely satisfied with what we have achieved is not easy to change our path.
We risk not being the driver but the passenger and let our past choices determine where we will be.
Inner Spark Coaching Model Steps
- Problem Setting: awareness of the current situation and definition of the desired outcome
In this initial step, the client identifies the issue the client wants to resolve.
When the entity of the challenge is too big, the client cannot see beyond the fear of failing and feel stuck in an unpleasant reality.
The key outcome of this step is goal setting and all the aspects related to it, including the obstacles the client is facing.
- Inner self-exploration: uncover yourself and your inner spark
In the second step of the coaching session, the client opens up and starts exploring his way of thinking, desires, beliefs, and core values at a deeper level. Supported by the coach’s thought-provoking questions, the client can identify the spark that brings light to the client’s challenge.
The key outcome of this step is self-awareness at a deeper level.
- Enabling: the space for new possibilities
The client has built awareness and now, using that awareness, begins to develop their answers and assess the situation through a different lens. Starting from now, the client can envision how to proceed.
The outcome of this step is a new way to see the “problem” and an acknowledgment of the client’s resources.
- Growth & Activation: moving the knowledge into action
After the Enabling step, the client can focus on the resources that the client can activate to reach the goal. In this next step, the client commits themselves to use this new perspective and creates an action plan to take the next step.
The outcome of this step is the definition of an accountability plan to succeed in the client’s resolution to act.
- Keep on walking: make it consistent.
The definition of the accountability plan is ideally the formal end of the session. But as said at the beginning of the paper, embarking on a change is a complicated process. The coach’s role is also to support the client on how to be consistent and embed the accountability plan in the client’s life.
This step is the connection on a circular process where the client can reflect and discuss the difficulties encountered or things that went wrong in a safe space where the learning journey never ends.
The outcome of this phase is the reflections on the accountability plan to make it sustainable and satisfactory.
