Often, it’s not about becoming a new person, but becoming the person you were meant to be, and already are, but don’t know how to be. Heath L. Buckmaster, Box of Hair: A Fairy Tale
Definition:
to change or develop slowly often into a better, more complex, or more advanced state : to develop by a process of evolution.
The whole point of being alive is to evolve into the complete person you were intended to be. Oprah Winfrey
The definition of EVOLVE is simple: to change or develop slowly often into a better, more complex, or more advanced state. As individuals, we strive to move forward and not let ourselves stand still for too long. For some, this process is easy and natural; however, for others it is quite difficult where individuals can find themselves stuck along the way. Our well-being is a direct result of our mind, body and spirit being cared for, challenged and fulfilled. When this occurs, we are perfectly ”balanced”. When an imbalance occurs, it is important to have a path, we can follow, to support our journey and ultimately live our vision.
This coaching process is developed to help individuals stay on their path and evolve over time. It is based on the belief that one can live a healthier life if their mind, body and spirit are fulfilled and nurtured to develop over time. Throughout the EVOLVE process, one will be supported to formulate their vision, encouraged to take forward steps, given confidence to persevere through difficult times, and reassured when they are most vulnerable by relying on family, friends and coworkers. Utilizing the EVOLVE process will help each individual discover all of the answers and focus on the relationships that matter most to ultimately find the perfect balance in life.
Examine:
Examine where you are today and engage with others to expand your perspectives, challenge your ideas and build upon your accomplishments, passions, desires and interests.
Vision:
Develop your goals/vision. Dig deep and reach high. What lies ahead? What does it look, smell, and feel like?
Options:
Now that you can “see” your end goal, begin to identify the different ways you can get there. There is no “one way” of getting there. YOUR way is the option that you have the most confidence in.
Lean In:
Once the plan has been developed, it is up to you to “lean in” and take action. Your evolution occurs when you go outside of your comfort zone. Your growth will not happen overnight nor will it come easy. Only hard work, accompanied with courage and perseverance will you accomplish your goals so “lean in” 100%.
Validate:
Validate what you have learned and how you have grown. Take the time to reflect upon what you have accomplished, how it has impacted your life and what the rewards are.
Enjoy:
Once you have taken the time to reflect upon and validate your accomplishments, be sure to enjoy all that life has to offer you. All too often we rush to the next agenda item and never take the time to breathe, relax and enjoy. Now is your time to truly appreciate YOU.
There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered. Nelson Mandella
