Shine Bright Like a DIAMOND Coaching Model
It’s all about YOU and your UNIQUENESS. What great and incredible resources do you have? and what shield do you build to protect them?
Have you ever given a jewel to a person who understands more about the tomato than the value of this precious stone? It’s worth clarifying that they’re two different things, and both have their own value and uniqueness.
- What do you think he’d do with it? What if he throws it away or shows less interest saying that it doesn’t worth it at all as it’s just a beautiful shiny stone!!
- What response would you have to that action? What thoughts would come to your mind?
Certainly, it’s up to you how to perceive this situation or any other event in life, and how to react to them according to how you see yourself and how you evaluate your uniqueness.
It all lies in “The power of understanding your uniqueness” and in appreciating the uniqueness of others.
Each one of us has different needs to address, and things worth pursuing over the course of a lifetime. What I have learned over time interacting with many people coming from various backgrounds and cultures, is that there is no normal or standard way of doing anything. No one size fits. We are just different. In other words, each one of us is UNIQUE.
Those of us who have the need to craft our own course, somehow, sometimes get in our own way impeding us from moving forward to get what we want. At a certain point, external support is needed from someone who’s not necessarily better than you at what you do but will mess with your head to distract it and unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination and productivity.
This will release your natural learning process and increases your awareness of your inner resources so you can use them as your own GPS.
So, let’s have a look together. Let me support you in this journey to find your GPS
Before starting our path together:
- Tell me … what’s wrong?
- What brings you here?
- How do you feel at the moment?
We will go down this path of answers together. I trust you have them all inside you.
Let’s dig deeper …
- What’s it that you’re looking for? You might know, but we’re not sure!
- What’s meaningful to you in getting it? You just need to listen to what drives you to go down there
- What’s holding you back from getting it? It is very plausible not being aware of the exact reason or obstacle, we will work it out together
- In what way can I be of great help to you? What type of support are you looking for? I will be actively listening to you
Coach + Client = Partnership +discover further
From my humble experience, I’ve learned that what you might want and what you REALLY want, are two different things. For this reason, I would dig in more to discover your real issue.
- What’s your main driver?
- How do you really want to feel?
- What’s going on from your side?
The purpose of life is to find a purpose in life. Robin Sharma
I am a fan of “the Inner Game approach”, therefore help you to silence Self-1 so Self-2 will perform at its best releasing the natural learning process to achieve any difficult goal.
A quick description of the IG: as per T.Gallwey’s[1] description: we all walk with two selves, self-1 “S1” represents our own interferences(judgmental and criticizing side), and self-2 “S2” is YOU(the pure you as a kid). Most of the time S1 gets in the way of S2 impeding natural learning and growth. It is only when we silence S1, S2 performs at its best.
The process addresses two essential parts:
- The first one is related to the three stable components of any activity: performance, learning, and enjoyment: These components are interdependent. If in the drive toward performance, the learning component is ignored, performance will inevitably fall or level out. Likewise, if enjoyment is missing from the work equation, both learning and performance will suffer.
- The second part examines the key to success through ACT: Success arises from three resourceful awareness, choice, and trust. In other words, Awareness tells us where we are, Choice tells us where we want to be. Therefore, a natural tension is created between the two. Trust in our own resources, inner and outer, is the key ingredient to moving toward the desired outcome.
Now that you’ve played your inner game and understood how it works (AHA moment), It’s time to sit together and explore your resources(your own stability and uniqueness)
Words can inspire. And words can destroy. Choose yours well. Robin Sharma
To explore your inner resources, manage the internal dialogue, and eliminate hesitation, here are some steps to follow
- We’ll examine the words you use with yourself and the stories you tell yourself
- “The Tree of Stability” is a powerful exercise that helps you understand your own resources
- We’ll work together to create a strong shield to protect these resources(through acknowledgment)
NOW what!
- What energy do you feel right now?
- What difference does it make inside you?
- What did you learn about yourself?
- What do you want to do with this awareness? what’s your new intention?
At this point, I trust that you feel safer and more stable knowing what makes you unique. Your resources are always with you. No one can take them away from you. You can rise …
Last but not least, let’s summarise
- Managing your inner game
- Increase your ACT (Awareness, Choice, Trust)
- Identifying your resources/uniqueness
- Goal road map including the identification of obstacles, allies, and a contingencies plan
- Creating a shield to protect your resources
A kind reminder that your response to the situation always counts as a fundamental ingredient in this process
Are you ready? Fasten your seatbelt, your GPS is set. Have a safe trip

Measure every step wisely, and always consider a workable contingencies plan
Observe what’s happening inside you and around you. What has changed? Also, observe your interaction with your surroundings

Drive confidently trusting your uniqueness (your inner resources) that will take you there, where you always wanted to be.
The ultimate outcome is your well-being and enjoyment. Understanding what makes you unique will exponentially boost your performance.
A small tip: Take your time no need to rush any process … the slower you’re the quicker you arrive! Applying a great paradox (the famous race story between the rabbit and the turtle)
