A Coaching Model Created by Dawn Lamond
(Transformational Coaching, UNITED STATES)
I believe that within each of us reside the keys to our own greatest hopes and aspirations. We are the experts of our own lives – and everything we need we can find within our very own selves.
I coach based around this belief, and seek to guide my clients on a thoughtful journey within to find those keys. Within the body, within the heart, and within the mind.
The Power Tool Breathe and Be was created for this purpose, along with the Thought Leadership Article Visualization: The Ultimate Reframing Tool. These are intended to be used together with this process.
It is also worth noting that I am a transformational coach, so in using this model I intend to help my clients create change on a foundational level, that then is applied to a practical daily-life experience.
This Model Targets:
The Feel It model is made up of two unique parts
The first part is intended to reveal keys to empowerment and understanding
Focus
Explore
Express
Learn
The second empowers to create action steps with new ways of seeing and being
Inspire
Transform
Focus
As the client begins to move through this model, focus is essential. There can be many different points of focus, but they must be clear on what it is they wish to shift, and where it is they’d like to create change.
Once a focus is decided upon, we can then begin to get specific in our area of inquiry as it relates to the client’s life in its many layers. The exploration begins.

When it comes to transformational coaching, the emphasis is on the deep work. Feelings, and how and where they reside in the body, are keys to unlocking awareness from deep within the client.
Using the focus attained in the previous step, the client is guided to breathe deeply and become aware of their body while focusing on the intended topic.
Breathing in a relaxed, safe environment while maintaining their focus, the client will shortly come upon a place where their body feels tight, or a sudden flash of emotion or even insight.
Maintaining an open space here is critical – this is the client’s world, their place to explore with the coach acting as a facilitator for their journey.

Express
It is important to allow the client to really get a feel for where they are in their physical and emotional body, in relation to their choice of focus.
Once they have, the coach can then begin to help them to unpack what they’ve found through expression, allowing them to become aware of what’s been hidden through experiential witnessing.
To create the space in which the client can express what they’ve found, it’s useful at this point to ask curious questions. Questions about how they would describe what they’re experiencing.
What is the temperature? Is there a physical sensation? Is there a color? Does it remind them of anything in particular? What memories come up?
