Exploration is a key to human enrichment. Exploring the situation will help your client to start a coaching conversation. Exploring what type of outcome your client wants is important at this stage. Becoming aware and making an inventory of what works and what doesn’t may be your first step.
And don’t get discouraged. Even highly successful coaches have some issues and fears exploring tough bits. But it’s important for their own transformation. Following the same ‘routine’ or behavioural patterns will produce anything but what you want.
As Albert Einstein once said,
It is insane to keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results.
If you keep doing what you have been doing in an unhappy relationship, you will keep getting what you have been getting.
To nourish means to give unconditionally.
Before you create or improve your coaching relationships, you need to learn to nourish yourself and fill up your emotional bucket with positive emotions and healthy thoughts. Thinking and feeling good will make a lot of difference in your life.
Nourish your body via healthy practices. Nourish your mind with a solid focus. Nourish your emotions with positive feelings. Nourish your soul with a feeling of gratitude and love.
Once you feel nourished yourself, you will feel the need to spread this wonderful feeling to other beings around you. That is our nature.
You want to move away from reacting and move towards responding to events in life. That is a thoughtful and mindful way of life interactions.
When stressful situations arise on a daily basis, the body becomes polluted with a hormone called cortisol. It is produced by an adrenal gland in response to stress and it suppresses the immune system. It also decreases bone formation. When people start suffering from colds and flu and think it is because of the weather, the truth is more likely it is because you have had too much stress and are having Adrenalin gland fatigue due to chronic cortisol release.
Responding allows to navigate through life using prefrontal cortex and eliminate stress from its inception. It is considered, nowadays, the most important part of the social brain, as it is linked to the social and emotional intelligence.
Imagination is more important than willpower. It creates desired outcome effortlessly and consistently.
When you imagine things in the future or remembering things from the past you activate the same parts of your brain to produce similar physiology as if you were to experience this now. That’s why you need to be careful what you imagine in your head as it has high likelihood of happening. As they say ‘you are what you think’.
Exercising positive imagination, compassion and mindful meditation will enhance the creation of new neuropathways to help you enrich yourself and your coaching relationships. It will enhance the quality of your life.
How do you communicate with your clients? How well do you understand people from different backgrounds and personal preferences? In the global world we live in, communication is key to success.
Learning to communicate effectively is paramount in establishing fruitful relationships in life.
Practicing simple strategies to clear, concise, loving and caring communication would allows for loverich connection. That in itself will help eliminate judgement and would improve peace within and between you & your client as well as reduce general tension at work.
The path towards human enrichment can’t be without physical manifestation of love. And that can be done through hugging. Hugging is a simple act of connection and love, to share with another being, to multiply the positive energy in the world.
Hugging irons out any tensions between people.
If we doubled the amount of hugging we would half the amount of anger. That is the power of hugs.
Laughing can be as strong. It is an armour of peace. When exercised positively it dissipates tensions, aggression’s, depressions and jealousy. It is a wonderful tool to be able to use with precision and care.
It’s always great to finish a coaching conversation on a positive note and use humour to light up a connection.
