Why Litmus Testing?
Frankly, many goals are based on conditions or a purpose that often changes over time. For example, an individual who wants to loose pounds in order to get into that “little red dress” or to impress a classmate at that long awaited reunion will often achieve the goal and revert back to old behavioral patterns resulting in the extra pounds returning as the goal and purpose was achieved . However, the Kindling Coaching Model strives to establish sustainable goals and achievements that are linked to a deeper purpose, ones that will stand the test of time. So, clients must dig deeper.
Why A Kindling Score?
A score is assigned throughout the model’s cycle to track a client’s progress to motivate them to continue their work in areas that are most important to them for a more tailored coaching experience. Each phase will include a 5 point rating scale client assessment and will be used only as a tool to focus, motive and measure.

Focus
Is to foster a trusting and safe environment of discovery and learning through a 5 step process termed EDFI –A (Examining Defining, Filtering, Interlinking and Affirming) to focus clients on results. During this phase it is critical for clients to establish connections based on work completed in Phase 1 so that they remain on course, while challenging misalignment as they gain new insights and discoveries.
Is centered on making connections from Phase 1 and leveraging new discoveries to assist clients with achieving their goals as quickly as possible. New strengths, higher visions/expectations, superior performance and continuous improvement are potential by-products of this phase.
EDFI-A–Applied
Interpreted from the word “Edify”, which means to teach (someone, in this case the client being the teacher) in a way that improves the mind and character; to uplift and the letter “A”, which represents the highest grade, to be set apart, and first class.
Examining – your current situation with a focus on accountability, commitment and what is true (in other words, What does the results suggest?)
Defining – the desired outcome or results (in other words, What does the client really want?)
Filtering – out distractions, circumstances, competing priorities, disempowering beliefs, bad advice, and etc. to maximize the probability of success (in other words, What is holding the client back?)
Interlinking – the client’s desired outcome to thinking, behavior and choices (in other words, How are the client’s choices out of alignment with what they want?)
Affirming – what is working well for the client and what is not (in other words, What can the client celebrate, to shift their energy, and further, what can be adjusted for even better results, if needed?)

Focus
Is to expand the client’s learning and insight beyond the initial goals established in Phases 1 and/or 2 to multiple life areas and in unexpected ways to assist them with getting to their “flow”. *Flow is defined as an optimal state of human experience in which individuals are fully plugged into creative endeavors, experiencing fulfillment, happiness, and well-being.

Why Become a Kindling (Torch) Bearer?
The Kindling Coaching Model is designed to assist clients with becoming inspired, rejuvenated, and reengaged. When they are truly “Kindled” clients can’t just keep it to themselves they have to tell everyone, often resulting in them paying it forward, by passing the torch and kindling someone else!
