A Coaching Model Created by Caroline Wu Beloe

I use the twisting Great Wall as my central metaphor. Coaching is not a flat road, rather it is a great hiking adventure full of up and down, shift and switch.
Goal:
With end goal in the mind, hiking gear on your foot, you set off with full of passion and curiosity. Adventure starts here, let’s explore.
Action:
It might be windy, might be raining, might be hot and might be cold. Use your strength and patient to overcome fear, obstacle and steepness. Hike one tower after another.
Self Awareness:
Each tower is a milestone. Whichever tower you are, there is a stunning scene. Take a deep breath and enjoy the moment. Be mindful to feel the calm and peace inside you. What you enjoy reflects exactly what you value.
Changing Perspective:
A slight change of altitude and a slight shift of direction might completely change the view. Take the opportunity for a new adventure from this new perspective. It might lead you down a flight of steep stairs but for sure you are getting closer to the next tower.
Vision:
Just like the stunning backdrop, your vision is way beyond your goal. Nevertheless, you are already closer to your vision by the end of today’s adventure.
