A Coaching Model Created by Betsy Sajdak
(Career Coach, UNITED STATES)
I have been in healthcare for over 25 years, working exclusively with specialist physicians for the last 10. During this time, I have coached, counseled, and cajoled physicians on both administrative and life issues. What I have found is physicians are life-long learners, consistently want to contribute and want to rediscover the passion they once had. If you want to rediscover the passion you had before you found yourself burnt out, tired, and frustrated by issues beyond your control, Rx Coaching is for you! Through Rx Coaching, physicians can find their passion again—turning their problem-solving abilities from medical diagnoses to finding their prescription for the future. Together, we will write a SCRIPT to find your passion, explore your ideas, and implement an action plan for the rest of your life!
We will use the SCRIPT to navigate our way to the prescription for the rest of your life:
S—SITUATION
We will explore your current situation. What you enjoy, what fills your cup, what changes you would like to see.
C—CLARITY
We will gain clarity around your situation and around how you see yourself by using the DISC and ENNEAGRAM assessments. You will gain clarity by finding out more about yourself, how you think, how you interact with others, how you cope, and how you can thrive.
R– RESOURCES
In this step, we will evaluate your resources. The resources needed to take the next step for the rest of your life. These resources could be time, financial, family, energy, community, support, or any other resources you have (or you may need) to take the next step in your life.
I—IDEAL
This is where we explore what your ideas are and what your ideal looks like. I am not going to say much more because I want it to be YOUR ideal, not mine. I want to know what your newspaper headline or magazine cover would look like if you were living your ideal life.
P– PLAN
After we discuss your situation, find clarity around who you are, evaluate your resources, and visualize what the ideal rest of your life looks like, we will move forward with planning. Bring a pencil! Planning will look like a storyboard. Several things on the plan may be happening at once. You will make a plan on how to achieve your ideal life.
T—TAKE ACTION
This last step is where all of the exploration, discovery, and planning gets put into place. By taking action you will look at a calendar and set dates to keep yourself accountable for creating your best life.
