A Coaching Model Created by Ana Friendly
(Life Coach, UNITED STATES)
I believe that my clients are able to “reach for the stars” and in the process become who they want to be and lead purposeful and fulfilling lives.
What is Coaching?
I define coaching as an inspirational and powerful action-oriented journey.
A journey that helps you look at where you are now and where you’d like to be and bridge the gap by achieving the personal and professional success you desire.
Why I Became A Professional Coach?
One of the most important values in my life is helping people.
As a coach, I feel privileged to support my clients through their unique life journeys.
I want to help you, my client, discover who you are, your strengths, values, passions and inner wisdom, what is important to you, and how to remove any obstacles that are getting in the way of making those choices that will lead you to a happy and more fulfilling life.
Present In A Trusting Space With Unlimited Possibilities
I would like to walk you through my coaching model.
At each coaching session, I create a trusting, confidential and non-judgmental environment.
I invite you, my client, to become present and focus on what it is important to you at the time and to imagine that you are stepping into an environment filled with unlimited possibilities.
Current Situation
This refers to the stage in our coaching process where we will explore your values and strengths and those beliefs that are guiding your current life. At this stage it is important for you to understand “who you are”.
At each coaching session we will focus on your intent or goal and we will do exploration.
We will explore perspectives that are more empowering to you and we will aim at stretching your boundaries to find new possibilities that will move you away from your comfort zones.
Self-Awareness
Self-awareness will take place as a result of our coaching sessions.
Self-awareness will help you initiate action.
Making Dreams A Reality
At this stage, you will be able to create a vision in accordance with the life you choose to live.
This vision will provide the platform for you to create your own goals.
It is important for us to check if your goals are in alignment with your core- self and your desires and purpose in life.
Commitment + Action = Success.
At this stage it is important to check your level of “commitment” to your goals and discuss any potential obstacles that might get in your way and how to overcome them.
Support is a key ingredient in coaching. Securing outside support to help you stay committed to reaching your goals is an important component of your journey, as well as, receiving my support to help you stay accountable.
Action, Results And Celebration
Action is another key ingredient in coaching.
By having you maintain sustained momentum to reaching your goals, you will create amazing results for yourself. You will see growth and change take place and you will see yourself creating the life you want.
Celebrate yourself!
About Me
For twenty-five years, I held leadership positions with non-profit free and community clinics.
I devoted my career to improving the health of the neediest families in Los Angeles County. Helping people has been an important value in my life.
Although, I enjoyed working in the non-profit sector and made a difference in many people’s lives, I felt there was something else I needed to do and I wanted to discover what that was.
In June of 2009 I completed a leadership program at the Clinic Leadership Institute and had the opportunity to work with a professional coach. This experience helped me realize that I wanted to become a coach and work directly with people to support them throughout their unique life journeys. I believe that when people discover their purposeful and fulfilling lives, in turn they help create a better world for all of us.
I am happy to have started a new chapter in my life by creating my own private coaching practice. I also continue to stay connected to the nonprofit world by sitting on the Board of Directors of the Westside Infant-Family Network, an agency I helped create in 2006, which provides free, in-home mental healthcare to vulnerable families with young children.
I live in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles with my husband of 31 years, Trip. Our daughter, Rebecca, is pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Entrepreneurship at the USC Marshall School of Business.
