Sara goes back and has an open talk with Aakash. She spends lot of time listening to his thoughts, challenges, and his likes-dislikes. She ensures she will only focus on asking him some important questions on his goals, life and problems. She allows him to articulate his thoughts also able to do the above points with more visualization technique. After that meeting, Aakash goes back with a good feeling about his goals and the relationship he shares with his mother.
In this process Sara observes he is very focused and also open to ask support in organizing his schedules as his exams are nearing. He is reasonable without stress manages his exams.
At the end of exam, Aakash has a long vacation and he gets busier with his cricket schedule. As he awaits his results, Aakash has more time after game to spend time with friends. In most situations he is able to handle his situation well. His actions are making his parents more confident and he starts sharing some best moments of his life with his parents. There are fewer tensions. Sara meets Ram to appraise her situation and she is able to express the improvement in her self in handling this.
In few month, Aakash gets his results and he gets very good grades in spite of his busy schedule of cricket and exams. In spite matches on previous day of exam, he was able to balance extremely well. Sara realizes that the whole relationship not only helped her to improve her relationship with her son but also allowed him to get grades. His school is very proud of his achievement. Some of the teachers praise him on his attitude and the balancing act at such a young age. This makes Sara and her husband very proud.
Aakash has a proposal to join a junior college for his next grade, which is in a different city based on his achievements in sports. As usual there is a pressure on Sara to not let him go as most of Sara’s family and friends state that he is still young. At that time Sara and her husband make a decision to allow him go to another city and study. This decision-making becomes easy for Sara as she is very confident that Aakash will be able to make the transition very easily and able to adjust at this age and will be able to manage his things independently.

Even though Sara was aware about her problem she was still struggling to manage herself. Ram was able to establish Trust and confidence with Sara which enabled a safe, supportive environment.
Ram followed GROW model in his engagement with Sara. He followed the approach:
Goal setting- he worked with Sara to set her goals and make her aware about her problem
Reality – Ram had to work closely with emotions to allow her to let go those binding feelings she was carrying towards her son. The challenge of letting it go was not easy for Sara. She took some time to accept that state
Options- He was able to connect to very well and this allowed her to understand the exact challenge she was facing every day. He allowed her to understand what problem she was facing
Wills – Ram was able to work with Sara on next goals of talking tp her son and further next step.
