Ms. Maaike Rijken, an extraordinary woman and a seasoned expert in the field of psychology, was the subject of my interview. Maaike created and developed the international Positive Psychology program at the University of Applied Science in Amsterdam, where she has been delivering specific training programs for several years. Positive psychology is concerned with people’s well-being; happiness entails both fulfillment and the ability to be resilient. It’s about feeling energized, fulfilled, and uplifted, all of which are elements of happiness. Being happy can also be achieved by engaging in activities that are normally associated with happiness, such as attending a party, attending a football match for those who are interested, or engaging in any other activity that produces an immediate feeling of enjoyment.
