Master Certified Coach (MCC)
A Master Certified Coach (MCC) is a professional certified coach who has completed ICF accredited coach training and achieved the highest level of credentialing via the International Coach Federation (ICF). The ICF being the leading global organization for Coaching.
MCCs are considered highly skilled and experienced coaches who have demonstrated a deep understanding of coaching principles, techniques, and ethics. They have a proven track record of helping clients achieve their goals, whether in personal, professional, or organizational contexts. MCCs are typically sought after by individuals and organizations seeking the highest level of coaching expertise and results.
What is an ICF Credential?
An International Coach Federation (ICF) credential is a professional designation that is achieved post certification and signifies a level of training, experience, and competence in the field of coaching.
There are three main levels of ICF credentials:
- Associate Certified Coach (ACC)
This is the first level of ICF credential. To obtain an ACC credential, coaches must complete a minimum of 60 hours of coach-specific training, accumulate at least 100 coaching experience hours with clients, and undergo a performance evaluation by an ICF-approved assessor. - Professional Certified Coach (PCC)
The PCC credential is the second level of ICF credential and represents a higher level of proficiency and experience. To achieve a PCC credential, coaches must have completed a minimum of 125 hours of coach-specific training, accumulated at least 500 coaching experience hours with clients, and pass a performance evaluation conducted by an ICF-approved assessor. - Master Certified Coach (MCC)
The MCC credential is the highest level of ICF credential and signifies a coach’s mastery and expertise in coaching. To obtain an MCC credential, coaches must have completed a minimum of 200 hours of coach-specific training, accumulated at least 2,500 coaching experience hours with clients, and undergo a comprehensive performance evaluation by an ICF-approved assessor. MCC can only be applied for after the successful application and achievement of PCC.
