There are many benefits we offer that you simply can’t get anywhere else. In this short video, Nick Bosk and Merci Miglino chat about the difference between the International Coach Academy and other Coach Training Programs. Nick and Merci are both members of the ICA faculty so when you join an ICA program, this is who will be running your teleclasses. Merci and Nick are also graduates of ICA Coach Training Programs so they can speak from first-hand experience.
Benefit #1: All certifications are not created equal
ICA is accredited with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the most widely recognized regulatory agency for coaching worldwide. The high coaching standards set by the ICF provide a strong foundation for coaching success.
Benefit #2: No hidden costs
ICA provides 126 hours of coach training and there are absolutely NO HIDDEN COSTS! Included in your tuition is our exceptional student support, orientation call and buddy program which are priceless! Many programs simply do not provide sufficient training and practice to build a successful coaching practice. Having a coach is a valuable part of the training process. It allows new coaches to experience the coaching process and provides support as they are learning. Most programs require students to hire a coach outside of the program at their own expense. At ICA, we have built coaching into the learning process allowing students to coach and be coached, all included in the tuition. You will experience a minimum of 24 sessions with your very own peer coach…
Benefit #3: Your coaching model and brand
We work with you to develop your own unique model. A coaching model is a strategy for coaching, a structure by which a coach brings personal experience and background to the coaching process. Most coach training programs teach one coaching model, which would be fine if all coaches were the same. In fact, no two coaches are the same, so it would make sense that each coach develops a unique coaching model. At ICA, students are supported in developing their own personal coaching model.
Benefit #4:Your own personal coach at no additional charge
Having a coach is a valuable part of the training process. It allows new coaches to experience the coaching process and provides support as they are learning. Most programs require students to hire a coach outside of the program at their own expense. At ICA, we have built coaching into the learning process allowing students to coach and be coached, all included in the tuition. You will experience a minimum of 24 sessions with your very own peer coach.
Benefit #5: Flexibility – Who’s in charge of you or the program?
The structure of the program is key to learning to coach. It is important that the program fit individual learning styles. At ICA, our program is extremely flexible and allows each student to design an individual schedule. We run 70 teleclasses per week across 4 time zones so there will be a class time to suit you. Students are free to take as many classes in a week as they like. You can even take a vacation during the program and not fall behind!
Benefit #6: Telephone training vs. in-person training
Telephone training is fast becoming the most time effective and affordable option for coach training. Since most coaching is provided using the telephone, learning by telephone allows students to become familiar with vocal tones and energy shifts in the conversation. It provides a safe space for the client without concern for how he or she might “appear” ICA trains students internationally by telephone.
Benefit #7: Finding your niche
Many new coaches enter the field without a firm grasp on their coaching specialty. Whether a student has chosen the niche from the beginning or plans to discover a niche while in training, it is advantageous to participate in a program that offers a variety of niche options. At ICA, we currently offer 7 different coaching niches. As a student, you are able to explore all of these niches or coaching focuses to find your own coaching interest.
Benefit #8: International networking
Coaching is a career that expands well beyond a coach’s local community. At ICA we have students and graduates from 90 different countries, which allows for a great opportunity to learn about alternate cultures during the training process.
Benefit #9: Lifetime access
When you enroll in the Advanced Coach Training program you get a lifetime membership. This means that after you graduate you can drop back in anytime to say hi or to access modules, resources, worksheets, book references, peer coaching, classes, and videos.
Benefit #10: It’s no cookie-cutter program
Our coach training programs are about YOU! You choose your own class schedule, peer coach, your niche and the pace you complete the program. The outcome of our programs is to be sure you are a confident and successful coach with the skills, tools, and resources ready to hit the ground running.
