Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes. – Carl Jung
THRIVE COACHING MODEL provides a multidisciplinary approach to coaching. It’s a blended coaching model which integrated several principles and tools in coaching, contemplative practices, transformative learning, voice dialogue, ecopsychology, and personal growth. It aims to bring out the clients’ inner present or unique gift to create an extra-ordinary life with inspiration, love and fulfillment. It unleashes their inner potential for creativity, curiosity, authenticity, harmony and resiliency with a positive attitude to success and happiness. This model together with the GROW model (GOAL, REALTY, OPTIONS, WILL) will move the clients to work deeper in connecting with their life purpose and also achieving their goals/dream in a sustainable way. The clients thrive their lives by discovering their passion and purpose and also connect to the inner wisdom. They are empowered and energized to take initiation to make a meaningful transformation in their lives. Along the coaching process, a new consciousness may emerge with an inner calling for personal growth to achieve the need for self-actualization.
As Albert Einstein said,
No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.
By leveraging an inner knowledge and wisdom, it provides the clients with the ability to grow and shift to a new level of consciousness. They will be the change that significantly brings the change for everyone involves. It’s important to understand that the inner world creates the outer world. What they sow inside, they reap outside. Therefore, what they want to see in the world, they have to initiate them in their lives to bring out the new energy and new consciousness to the physical world.
THRIVE COACHING MODEL is a 3-dimensional coaching structure representing a system of a coaching process. Each dimension is intertwined and simultaneously co-created in the clients’ transformational process. It begins with the clients’ goals but also works deeper in leveraging their insights for new possibilities to emerge. The model offers a nonlinear dynamic process to connect the clients to their inner world and cultivate a diversity as a new way of perceiving, thinking and behaving. However, it depends on the clients’ own process towards new awareness. Coach holds the process and the clients flow the space but we dance together. The process provides the space for clients to work with their VISION and also to build up their BEING to achieve them. This supports the clients in achieving their goals/dream in a sustainable way. It begins with their VISION in mind. The coaching process offers the space for clients’ personal transformational journey towards a new level of consciousness. By shifting from within, it can create the possibilities for new things to emerge. In a wider perspective, the collective transformation of individuals can change the world for the better.
THRIVE COACHING MODEL has employed the metaphor of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly as an image for the clients’ personal transformation. The clients enter into the coaching space for the opportunity to go through the transformational process likes a caterpillar in the metamorphosis stage which is going to transform into a butterfly. Transformation process of human consciousness from one stage to another requires attention and intention to do the work from shifting the knowing on the conscious surface to undergo a deep experience that leads to a whole new capacity, perception and potential.
Joseph Campbell once said,
The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.
As a coach, it’s a more privilege to join and partner with the clients in their transformational journey to realize their creativity, inner potential and capacity to connect with their inner wisdom. Everything that they need is lying within. They need a space to flow them out. As the clients get into the coaching process, the inner work tool is going to help them being in connection from within for their insights and inspiration.
This coaching model is working in the coaching process as follows:
INNER WORK TOOL has employed to support the clients in the journey of personal transformation. These elements are …
Cultivating Self-Awareness
By knowing and identifying the patterns in their lives that serving or not serving their values and life purpose, this brings the light of awareness to their thoughts, feelings, emotions in a form of energy patterns, for instance joy, calmness, relaxation, sadness, judgement, worry, fear and etc. Creating self-awareness is a great way to connect with who they are, what they want, and why they want it. If they lack self-awareness, they may be overwhelmed and lost themselves to the demand of others.
Questioning through Self-Inquiry
By searching inside themselves to understand who they are, what they really want, and why they want it in their lives is a powerful way in discovering and knowing themselves. By asking them with powerful questions, the clients are attentively paying attention to look deeply inward to make a shift into a new level of consciousness as they work deeper to explore their inner landscape.
Contemplating for Self-Reflection
By pausing and pondering to connect deeply within, the clients begin to listen to the inner voices as an inner navigator and be inspired to take tiny steps to go for their goals/dream. Through continuous reflective process, the clients develop the capability to listen to their inner voices and connect to their inner wisdom.
Fostering Self-Love
By embracing who they are, willing to be vulnerable and also acknowledging themselves for small or big accomplishments helps to transform the clients’ lives. Small gratitude everyday can lead to big achievement and success through vibrating the new positive energy out into the world.
INNER FLOURISHING TOOL has employed through the unique approach of the 5 principles of Ecopsychology which originated from the work of Dr. Lori L. Pye, President of Viridis Graduate Institute. By applying these 5 principles into the coaching process, it can stimulate a change in attitude and behaviors of the clients to create new, thriving narratives as the new ways of relating with themselves and others. These 5 Ecopsychological Principles are ….
ENERGY
Everything runs on energy. By activating clients’ imagination to observe and get to know their feelings and emotions, they are aware of themselves and the energy that they hold, transport and transfer in their daily life. When they inquire within to identify the personal narratives that hold the feelings and emotions in place, they are in control from unconsciously aware to consciously aware. They have choices in order to shift themselves to operate in creative and meaningful ways.
DIVERSITY
Diversity is necessary for an ecosystem to flourish. Diversity opens up possibilities, curiosity and opportunity for exploration. Exploring the clients’ energies which are creative and destructive, the clients create the new awareness to connect with the diverse repertoire of ideas, curiosity, imagination, and multiple perspectives that allowing for opportunity. This provides a new understanding, flexibility and development of resiliency for the inner capacity in transformation, innovation, and flourishment.
WASTE
There is no waste in nature, but lots on human behavior and practices. In coaching, the unconscious behaviors and belief systems sometimes drive destructive practices that are not serving the clients’ lives. By exploring the clients’ significant disturbances, for instance, anger, panic, fear, anxiety, frustration, stressor and etc. that are not serving their values and life purpose, the coaching process can support the clients to aware of the drivers, old patterns and personal narratives relating to them. The coaching process gives a space for the clients to reframe their perspectives, change paradigms and make a shift to new energy patterns. This is why composting is important in their life for the new things to emerge and transformation to happen (Decay & Renewal).
CHANGE
Change is inevitable. It is critical for evolution of consciousness and a flourishing of life. By exploring and identifying a shift in the clients’ narratives, paradigms, attitudes, and behaviors, this supports the clients to move forward into the future with confidence. Using visualization to help activating their imagination towards their goals/dream and setting strategies to achieve them with focused intention, this drives the powerful action to bring their dream into reality.
CONNECTIVITY
Everything is connected. Exploring and identifying the connection within the clients’ inner realm as an ecosystem is essential for a life to thrive and flourish. Through THE THRIVE COACHING MODEL, it offers a process for the clients to work deeply within themselves with the opportunity to assess their inner system to make a sustainable change in their lives and grow forward to pursue their goals/dream. The clients connect with their inner wisdom and realize the inner potential to make the difference in their lives and other people’s lives as they transform from within.
THE TRANSFORMATION JOURNEY begins with the clients’ intention to make a change in their lives with a VISION to dive into the coaching process for the sustainable personal development and transformation. Through the coaching process, the clients develop the inner capacity for resiliency, adaptability and engagement to participate in creating ripple effects of transformative change for their community, organization and society. They become a person who makes a difference and leaders who lead with heart. Their new ways of being in the world will create the impactful presence to inspire others to do the same.
The process of THRIVE COACHING aims to inspire the clients by going deeper in order to connect with their authenticity and bring anything in their way that is unconsciously aware to the conscious awareness. The clients are working with a coach in exploring an inner landscape to gain awareness of the diverse feelings that run their lives. These emotions are fear, worry, anger, doubt, confusion, criticism, and a lot more that are intertwined together that bringing some kind of spontaneous responses that are not serving and dis-empowering them to sometimes play small and live unsatisfied life. These roadblocks are the challenges that prohibiting them to be happy and be successful in life. When they continuously work to aware and let go of these blocks, they will be energized and inspired to move forward with an intention to make their dream into reality. They feel confident to take ownership for their action to pursue for the goals/dream they want to achieve.
The clients gradually make a shift to shine their unique inner gift and align their life with their passion and purpose. They develop the ability to cultivate diversity within themselves which is necessary for their life system to flourish. They show up with a sense of clarity, creativity, innovation and also positively bringing new energies and new attitudes to create extra-ordinary things to happen in their lives. When unexpected circumstances happen that seem to be challenging, they are able to handle it with creativity and confidence. They are more resilient in bouncing back from adversity quickly and effectively.
Last but not least, the clients develop a sense of connectedness within themselves and others as they realize how their ecosystem is functioning in connection with others. They are empowered to make a contribution to others that is where the real success lies.
Leading a successful and purposeful life is a journey, not a destination. It requires courage and determination to work within themselves for the personal transformation and sustainable growth. Within the process, the clients are determined to grow forward as they connect to the inner source for the success and happiness. They gradually discover the values and purpose that are aligning with their truest selves, enable to take diligent steps and have trust that all will work out in the way they dream to be.
